In commemoration of this year’s World Teacher’s Day celebration, the Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Abdulrazaq has approved Monday, October 7, 2024, as a public holiday for teachers in the state — a gesture in honour of the World Teachers’ Day (WTD).

According to a statement by Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, the Governor commended the teachers in the state for efforts to advance human progress through quality teaching and nurturing of minds.

The statement reads, “The Governor directs that this holiday be enjoyed by teachers in the public and private sector as a mark of appreciation for what they do,”

“He wishes them a blessed holiday.”
