Woman strangles rival wife to death in Bauchi

Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 50 year old housewife, Amina Guguwa, for allegedly strangling her 60 year old rival wife, Amina Koli, to death.

The spokesperson of the police Command, SP Ahmad Mohammed Wakil, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

Wakil said the incident occurred on the 1st of January 2023 at Miya Village in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the State.

It was gathered that there was a physical confrontation between the 2 women.

Wakil added that operatives of the police were mobilised to the affected scene on getting the report of the incident to move the victim to the General Hospital, Ganjuwa, for a post-mortem.

He said: “She was certified dead by a medical doctor. The investigation is in progress, after which the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.”
