Woman dragged to court for allegedly pouring urine on fellow tenants in Lagos

A woman, Bosede Enigbokun, 42, was on Monday dragged before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, for allegedly pouring her urine from her flat in a storey building.

A trader (the defendant) is being tried by magistrate L.J.k Layeni, on two counts charge of assault and causing breach of peace.

When the matter was read to the defendant, she, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Dr Simon Uche, the Prosecution Counsel, informed the court that the defendant carried out the offence on October 3 at No.2 Sunny St. in the Ajangbadi area of Ojo Lagos.

He made an allegation that the defendant who stays in a flat on the top floor of the storey building, poured her urine on the ground floor where other tenants stayed.

He also made an allegation that the defendant assaulted and tore the cloth of a fellow neighbour, Mr Adesina Oloye, who had questioned her action.

He said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 168(d) and 172 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

The court admitted the defendant to the sum of N50,000 bail plus one surety in like sum.

He has adjourned the matter until December 28 for trial.
