The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has made fun of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over a recent comment.
The Informant247 recalls that the presidential campaign committee of the PDP had predicted that some All Progressives Congress, APC Governors will betray their party and vote for the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
One of the spokespersons of the main opposition party, Daniel Bwala, said 37 senators and 15 members of the House of Representatives elected on the platform of ruling APC are supporting Atiku.
Keyamo on Thursday, February 23, 2023 took to social media to reveal that the opposition party was using untrue information in order to keep hopes alive.
The spokesperson of the presidential campaign committee of the APC said the PDP predicted that the presidential candidate of the APC, Senator Bola Tinubu and some leaders of the party would decamp to the PDP.
Keyamo said the ruling party was still expecting the prediction of the PDP to come to pass, even when it’s 2 days to the elections.
He wrote: “In the past few months, in order to keep hopes alive, the PDP lied to its supporters that there would be a last-minute betrayal of @officialABAT by the Northern APC Govs. and stakeholders who would defect en masse to PDP. 48 hours to voting, we’re still waiting for the ‘betrayal’”
