… again, unite aggrieved members
The Chairman Reconciliation and Engagement Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Alh. Kawu Baraje on Thursday has renewed the commitment of its team to return stability in the party and bring back old members whom it lost towards 2019 general elections
He said it’s a thing of proud now that the aggrieved members have accepted their differences and ready to work in the interest of the party.
The chairman who is a former acting national chairman of the party, has earlier announced its resolve to unite the loyal members of the party who are unpleased with decisions in the party and bring back old members of the party who dumped it in the build up to the 2019 general elections.
Recall that the committee commenced its reconciliation job in Ifelodun local government of the state on Wednesday where it admonished it warring and agrieved members on the need to work together again to secure victory for the party come 2023
The committee charged stakeholders in Offa, including youths and women to look above the past, come together with a view to ironing out issues and bringing the party together ahead of the 2023 general elections.
It also assured that the grievances of those that have left for other parties and the aggrieved ones who are still in the party’s fold would be genuinely and holistically addressed.
He, however, disclosed that the national leader of the party, His Excellecy, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, has given the committee a mandate to strengthen the internal democracy mechanism of the party on the path of tripod agenda; justice, equity and fairness.
Other members of the Committee on the tour include: Alhaji Atanda Soro, Hon. B. F. Ishola, Sir Bisi Fakayode, Amb. Sheikh AbdulAzeez, Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed, Mr. Moses Awan, Alhaja Sarat Adebayo, Alhaji Adamu Gene and others including the two youths in the Committee, Abdulrahman Kayode and Nura Mohammed.
