We’re ready to take over Kwara Assembly – Member-elect, Agboola

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member-elect, Hon Abdulraheem Agboola, on Friday, expressed readiness of members of his constituency to take over the Kwara State House of Assembly as the Speaker continually deny him access into the complex.

Agboola disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

He berated the Speaker for giving standing order to the security of the Assembly complex to deny him entry whenever he attempted to enter the premises of the House.

“People are ready to take over the Assembly because they cannot allow their representative to be outside and someone else inside. And also the sacked member still attend plenary. Our people are ready, they can’t take the impunity anymore,” Agboola stated.

Recall that the Speaker, Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi had refused to swear-in Agboola the only PDP member-elect even after securing victory at Appeal Court and collecting Certificate of Return from Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Court of Appeal in December 2019 declared Agboola as the winner of the Ilorin South constituency election, thereby nullifying victory of Hassan Abdulazeez.
