The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu has revealed the readiness of 9th Kwara state House of Assembly to collaborate with relevant stakeholders for the progress of Kwara state and its people.
The Hon. Speaker made this revelation while receiving the headship of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in his office, earlier today, according to a statement by his media aide, Ibrahim Sheriff.
“I realize the significance of NOA and we are ready to collaborate with them for the progress of the state. There is no way we can progress if we don’t have or take cognizance of feedbacks from the people”, Hon. Yakubu said.
He added that “whatever meaningful recommendations made by NOA consequent upon their feedbacks will definitely be looked into and considered as far as it is in the interest of the state”.
The Kwara State Director of NOA, Owosegun Adeyemi earlier in his remarks noted that the Agency has always worked with previous Assemblies in Kwara state and their coming is to sustain such working relationship in the best interest of the people.
Applauding the giant strides of the 9th Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Yakubu, Owosegun said “I am confident that with the kinds of steps you start with, we are confident that the 9th Assembly will deliver people oriented legislation”.

He recounted NOA was a significant part of the success of the 2019 general elections and the roles the Agency plays on security and other issues of social concern.
Owosegun unveiled the plans of NOA to kickoff a sensitization programme against cybercrimes for secondary school students in major cities in Kwara state soon, which he said was in consonance with the stance of the 9th Assembly against cyberrcrime.
