Unknown mother drops 1-day-old baby boy in waste-bin in Calabar

A one-day-old child was on Saturday morning seen in a waste bin.

The small baby was discovered in a bin at the Africana Bus Stop very close to a petrol station on Atimbo Road, Calabar.

Residents and those who came out of their residences early saw the baby as they were waiting to get buses to their locations in Calabar.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the baby was still alive as at the time of producing this report.

They added that the baby boy was drop in the waste bin naked having his placenta still intact.

Another eyewitness, Deaconess Dorathy Effiom said, “the sight of the baby boy has left tears flowing from my eyes.

“The poor boy is being feasted upon by army of flies and stench, even though he is still breathing.

“Will God actually forgive the woman or parents that have done this? This is heartlessness.”

The Informant247 gathered that a crowd of residents surrounded the waste bin, raining blames and curses on the mother.

All efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Police in the State, Irene Ugbo has proved abortive.
