Uba Sani restores peace in Kaduna, moves away from El-Rufai’s insecure legacy – Tinubu’s aide

Temitope Ajayi, a media aide to President Bola Tinubu, has accused the former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, of leaving behind a legacy of insecurity for his successor, Governor Uba Sani.

While acknowledging El-Rufai’s contributions to physical infrastructure, Ajayi praised the current governor for his efforts in achieving peace and security in the state.

It would be noted that although El-Rufai is actively working to challenge President Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections, Uba Sani is rallying support for the President’s bid for a second term.

In a recent post on Facebook, Ajayi commended Uba Sani, stating, “The most important achievement of Governor Uba Sani in the last two years is how he has been able to build elite consensus to restore peace and security in Kaduna State.”

He added, “While the achievements of Nasir el-Rufai in areas of physical infrastructure cannot be denied, Governor Uba is also building on them and expanding them further. Governor Sani has been most successful in the management of the state’s diversity by charting a path different from the belligerent legacy of his predecessor that polarized the state and created humongous insecurity for the 8 years he held sway.”

Ajayi is currently in Kaduna as part of the Presidential Media Team at an ongoing civic engagement spearheaded by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, which aims to foster dialogue between Northern leaders and top officials in President Tinubu’s administration.
