Tuchel begins Bayern era with a win over Dortmund

Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich era began on a high note as he secured a 4-2 victory over rivals Borussia Dortmund at Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Tuchel was appointed to replace Julian Nagelsmann during the international break after the latter’s fallout with the team’s hierarchy.

Bayern started the show off the heels of an own goal from Gregor Kobel and would later had Thomas Muller’s double putting Bayern 3-0 up inside 23 minutes.

Kingsley Coman later added up to Bayern’s edge even though Emre Can’s penalty and Donyell Malen’s finish later reduced the deficit for Dortmund.

Tuchel will be looking forward to more victories as his side maintains a two points difference on the top spot from Dortmund.
