Troops kill 26 suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Borno

26 suspected Boko Haram terrorists have been killed troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in the North East.

The BH terrorists met their waterloo while trying to cross the Maiduguri-Dikwa Road.

The terrorists on 20 motorcycles were moving in the direction of Sambisa Forest.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert, in the Lake Chad Region, revealed in Maiduguri, the capital of the state, that: “The troops achieved the feat while acting on credible intelligence,” adding that the terrorists were moving in the Mafa axis to attack a military post along the road.

Makama explained that the troops collaborated with the Civilian JTF to attack the terrorists and kill about 26 of them.

He also narrated that the troops also arrested a suspected terrorist alive, while others escaped with bullet’s wounds into the thick forests.

He said: “The laid ambush triggered a heavy gunfire between the troops and fleeing terrorists.

“They later retreated and attempted fleeing, but the ground troops chased them and killed over two dozen terrorists.”

He also said that 2 members of the Civilian JTF sustained injuries during the serious gun battle with the terrorists.
