Traditional rulers back Toba Oloyede for House of Reps ambition in Kwara
The traditional rulers from Isin have thrown weight behind Dr. Toba Oloyede over his political ambition to clinch the All Progressive Congress ticket for House of Representatives in the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero federal constituency.
In a communique jointly signed by the Olusin of Isanlu isin, HRM Oba (Dr.) Solomon Olugbenga Oloyede and Olusin of Iji Isin, Oba Samuel Babatunde Aboyeji, the monarch in Isin local government area of Kwara State have supported Toba Oloyede as their preferred candidate.
The communique read, “You gain recognition from monarchs in Yoruba land based on two distinct features. Firstly, by birth which makes you a true son of the soil and secondly, by affirmative actions. It is a dream for every person who hails from a particular community in Yoruba land to gain recognition from the King in his town. When this happens, it directly connotes that such a person is not only an indigene of the community but also one who has left an indelible mark in the people’s history.”
The monarchs affirmed the philanthropist as a true son of Isin, who had attained this feat by birth and further strengthened it by affirmative actions.
According to them, Dr. Toba has enjoyed and is currently enjoying the support and backing of the monarchs in the Isin local government area because of various projects he had done in Isin to uplift the people and further uplift the people.
However, they urged the people of Isin to reciprocate his kind gesture by showing him their support at this time when he mostly need it.
Dr. Toba Oloyede is a US based IT expert aspiring to represent Irepodun/Isin/Ekiti/Oke Ero Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
He trained as a medical doctor. Although he has been part of different struggles to oust the Saraki dynasty, he is contesting elective office for the first time and hails from Iji-Isin, Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.
