The Director, Media and Publicity, Tinubu/Shettima Campaign, Bayo Onanuga has called on the United States US President Joe Biden to rubbish the open letter which originated from the famous Nigerian novelist, Chimamanda Adicihe.
The Informant247 recalls that the literary guru had on Thursday April 6 argued that the 2023 elections were intentionally manipulated by some political actors in the country.
She condemned the manner the US Department and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak celebrated the outcome of the election whose process was faulty, despite its stance on “global community for democracy, and the need to stand up for “justice and the rule of law
She writes: “Many Nigerians went out to vote holding in their hearts a new sense of trust. Cautious trust, but still trust.”
While reacting to the position of Adichie, Onanuga on Twitter, Friday April 7 described the letter as a fiction produced out of pain suffered over the loss of her tribesman, Peter Obi.
Reacting to her letter, Onanuga in a tweet posted on Friday morning, described her letter as a fiction written over the loss of her tribesman, Peter Obi.
“Dear President Joe Biden, please just trash the open letter by Chimamanda on Nigeria’s election once it gets to your desk. She wrote fiction, inspired by the monumental loss of her tribesman Peter Obi.”
