Tinubu supporters occupy INEC headquarters to warn against cancellation of results

Police operatives on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 positioned themselves at strategic locations of the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). 

The secretariat of the electoral commission have continued to receive different categories of protesters who were present to show their displeasure at the outcome of the just concluded presidential election.

The supporters of the president elect, Senator Bola Tinubu occupied the secretariat of the electoral commission, in large numbers.

They were at the secretariat of the electoral commission, reportedly waiting for the supporters of the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to return to further with their demonstration.

They held in their hands posters with inscriptions acknowledging the credibility of the presidential election which made Tinubu the president elect.

They warned the electoral commission not to cancel the election, and promised not to take things easy if the election turn out to be like that of the June 12, 1993 MKO Abiola.

“We are here to register our solidarity with the commission. We want to assure you that Nigerian youths, women, men, old are solidly behind the commission,” they said singing the trademark sung “on your mandate we shall stand…”

The security operatives though well armed with weapons and guns, created an enabling environment for the protesters to peacefully exercise their rights.
