Tinubu commiserates with Wike, Rivers people over church stampede
The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has shown concern about the victims of Saturday’s stampede at a church programme at Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
During this incident, over 30 persons lost their lives.
The APC national leader has condoled the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and the people of Rivers State over the incident.
Tinubu, in a letter he personally signed, on May 29, described the incident as a “devastating and unfortunate disaster.”
“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of all those who sadly lost their lives and with the innocent survivors now forced to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of this terrible incident,” he said.
The former governor of Lagos state has commended the police for responding quickly to the incident, and measures put in place to prevent its reoccurrence.
