Three Kwara players selected for 2022 TeqBall world series in France

The Nigeria Teqball (NIGTEQ), has selected three Kwara players out of the four to represent the country at the 2022 Teqball World Series in France.

The trio of Yahaya Akorede Khalid, Oyemade Ademoye Victor and Salau Bukola Rashidat from Kwara State will be dorning Nigeria colours in the world series on the heels of their outstanding performance at the last National challengers series in Abuja.

One of the Kwara players invited, Victor Oyemade won six Gold medals in the last TeqBall National challengers series- becoming the number one TeqBall player in Nigeria, number two in Africa and 13th in the world in the singles category.

In the mix doubles at the championship, Victor also paired Rashidat to win bronze medal.

All the players invited are the best ranked TeqBall players at the moment in the current International Federation of TeqBall (FITEQ) rankings.

The world series will hold from March 18th to 20th at the Departmental De Formation et d’ Animation Sportives in France

Making the list of the four selected players is another Obi Ijeoma Juliana from Plateau State who is also a force to reckon with amongst the ‘curve game’ players in Nigeria.

Nigeria will take part in three categories: Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles and the nation will be represented by two males and females at the global competition.
