Thousands benefitted from free transport palliative, says Kwara govt

The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology while reiterating its commitment to ensuring that the citizens receive needed support to thrive, revealed that thousands of residents have benefited from the free transport palliative weekly since its launch, while over 500,000 kilometres of transportation have been covered since the commencement of this phase of the free transport initiative thereby providing relief to citizens within Ilorin metropolis

The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, while stating this in her office on Wednesday, said the free transport palliative is a testament to the government’s dedication to the welfare of its citizens and reassured that it will continue to provide support and relief to those who need it most.

Hon. Damilola, while emphasising the importance of the free transport initiative as a response to the current economic challenges and an initiative that the State Government introduced to alleviate the burden of transportation costs on citizens, noted that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was committed to providing various kinds of relief initiatives during challenging times.

She added that the Ministry has received overwhelming positive feedback regarding the initiative, saying that many residents have expressed their gratitude to the State Government for supporting them during these challenging times.
