The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo has said there would be consequences as residents of the state did not cast their votes for the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the March 18 governorship and state assembly elections.

The Governor made this revelation in a video which has gone viral on social media.

In the video, the Governor could be seen in front of the Government House as he was speaking about the Premier of Eastern Nigeria during the First Republic, Michael Iheonukara Okpara popularly known as MI Okpara, on how he allegedly did not extend gesture of infrastructural development to some parts of the Eastern part that did not support his political platform — the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC).

Soludo said, “Let me tell you, MI Okpara, MI Power, the story is that the NCNC (National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) later changed to the National Convention of Nigerian Citizens), was laying pipes everywhere and after voting, it happened that Inyi did not vote for the NCNC, he went back and took all the pipes laid at Inyi.

“Yes, he said that if you want this, it is NCNC that brought it. Before we finish giving people who voted and supported us, if money still remains, then we can look towards those who did not support us. So, there must be consequences and there must be rewards.”
