Stop visiting Abeokuta, you always criticise Buhari there — Peter Obi advises Tinubu
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has advised the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu to stop visiting Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
The Informant247 recalls that Tinubu criticised President Muhammadu Buhari when he visited the state, in the buildup to his party’s presidential primaries, which he later won.
The former Governor of Lagos State criticised President Buhari, the Governor of the state, Dapo Abiodun and others who were standing in his way.
“Emi lokan”, “O lule”, got into the country’s political lexicon after they were being used by Tinubu during his visit to the state.
The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has described the ongoing fuel scarcity across Nigeria as a plan to reduce his chance of winning the forthcoming presidential election.
Tinubu said the introduction of the new naira notes is another attempt to sabotage his chance of coming victorious in the election.
He made this revelation, Wednesday during his presidential campaign rally in Ogun State.
He said the plan to sabotage his chance of winning will fail and that he’d put an end to the crises as soon as he emerges president.
At the presidential campaign rally which took place at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, were the party’s vice presidential candidate, Shettima Mustapha; the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, his wife, Bamidele; the former governor of State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola; among others.
Reacting, Diran Onifade, the Head of Media, Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, on behalf of his principal (Obi) said those advising Tinubu should inform him to stop visiting Abeokuta.
“If I were to be Tinubu’s adviser, I would have advised him to stop going to Abeokuta. It was in the same Abeokuta that he made the gaffe of ‘Olule’ and how President Muhammadu Buhari was crying on TV, ’emi lokan’ and all that.
“Now, he (Tinubu) is saying the fuel scarcity is meant to make the elections fail and how they are going to take over power from them. Who are they or them?
“He could have been talking to the CBN governor (Godwin Emefiele) and the Minister of Petroleum and who is the minister of petroleum in this respect, President Muhammadu Buhari. The same man that Tinubu has been campaigning that he wants to take over from and continue the good work.
“I think his advisers should advised him to stop going to Abeokuta because he gets things wrong everytime he goes there,” he said.
