Speaker, Taraba House of Assembly resigns
Prof. Joseph Albasu Kunini, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, has tendered his resignation letter on personal ground.
The resignation letter which was forwarded to his colleagues on Wednesday was read by the Deputy Speaker, Hammanadama Ibn-Abdullahi.
It was gathered that the deputy Speaker acted in the capacity of the Speaker pro-tempo during the sitting.
The House of Assembly has unanimously elected the Chief Whip of the Assembly, John Kizito Bonzena, representing Zing State Constituency as the new speaker.
