Sowore blasts Peter Obi for collecting campaign donation from secondary school student, says it’s scam

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has condemned how the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi collected a cash donation from a secondary school student.

The Informant247 recalls that a student, Chizzy Ebube Balogun recently donated a cash gift to support the campaign of the presidential candidate.

Obi took to social media, Twitter on Sunday, January 29, 2023 to appreciate the student and referred to the gesture of the student as a small one but invaluable.

Obi wrote: “My deep appreciation to Ms. Chizzy Ebube Balogun, a secondary school (SS2) student, for her small but most invaluable donation. She has invested in her future and those of her contemporaries and generations yet unborn. She is an exemplar in social consciousness.

“God bless you and your generation. -PO”

Reacting, Sowore described the action of Obi as a scam.

Sowore wrote: “Same scam different era! #WeCantContinueLikeThis.”
