A former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has revealed why there’s an alleged crisis between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said some stakeholders of the APC were not comfortable with the redesigned naira notes and cashless policy put forward by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele and which was approved by President Buhari.
The Informant247 recalls that the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai alleged that some persons in the presidential villa were working against the candidacy of the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu.
Sani on Twitter revealed that the president only wanted to ensure that money does not determine who would be the next president.
He added that this may not favour APC at the poll as the party is longing to retain the position of authority.
Shehu Sani wrote, “President Buhari wants to leave behind a legacy where money doesn’t influence who becomes Nigeria’s next president.
“The Ruling party leaders think that his record in office can’t deliver them to victory without the massive use of money.
This is the basis of their family war..”
