Shehu Sani reveals implication of calling Tinubu a drug baron
A former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has revealed the implication of calling the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a “drug baron”.
The former legislator took to his Facebook page to say that the people have the right to criticise the president.
He said there are many implications for labelling the president elect a drug baron.
“There is nothing wrong with criticising Tinubu and questioning his election victory. But I must caution on the implication of continuously referring to him as a drug baron.
The former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, wrote: “As a President-elect of our country, such tag will now be stigmatised on you and me as citizens, especially from a foreign perspective or when we travel out of the country.
“Let’s allow that drug matter to rest please.That matter has long been settled. Please pick him up on any other issues responsibly.”
The Informant247 recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election.
According to INEC, Tinubu came victorious with 8.8 million votes.
