Shagaya hands out relief packages to constituents
Residents of Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency had a cause to smile as Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya distributed relief materials to those in need. The exercise, which took place at the Hon. Shagaya Constituency Office in Ilorin, was well-received by beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude for the support.
According to a statement released by Hon. Shagaya, “We distributed relief materials to those in need across Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency. Thanks to the support of the National Emergency Management Agency and the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency, we were able to provide 200 mattresses, 200 blankets, 300 20kg bags of rice, beans, and garri each, as well as 30 cartons of groundnut oil, 40 cartons of seasonings, and 30 cartons of tomatoes to those in need,” the statement read.
Hon. Shagaya emphasized that this exercise was part of his commitment to serving the people of his constituency and supporting them during times of need.
The Secretary of Kwara State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Mashood Magaji, commended Hon. Shagaya for his transparency, accountability, and commitment to serving his constituents. The agency reiterated satisfaction with the distribution process.
A beneficiary, Alhaji Ayuba, praised Hon. Shagaya for his unwavering support and representation, while also offering prayers for his guidance and wisdom. He added that the distribution of relief materials was a testament to Hon. Shagaya’s dedication to the well-being of his constituents.
