Senator Saliu Mustapha celebrates Emir of Ilorin on 29th anniversary, prays for continued strength to lead Emirates
The senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial districts in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has joined the well-wishers and the good people of Kwara State, particularly those from the Ilorin Emirate, to celebrate the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the 29th anniversary of his ascension to the throne of Sheikh Alimi.
In a statement by Nasif Sholagberu, the Media Assistant to Senator Saliu Mustapha, the senator doubled as the Turaki of Ilorin, expressed delight that the Emir has lived to witness yet another celebration of his coronation anniversary on the throne of his illustrious forebears while commending the Emir for his dedication to fostering peace, unity, and development within Ilorin and beyond.
The senator, while extolling the Emir, who is also the Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, for his constant fatherly advice, love, and support over the past 29 years of his reign, said Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State have continued to witness development in all sectors, as well as harmonious and peaceful co-existence among people of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds.
He, however, prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants the Emir continued strength and good health to lead the Ilorin Emirate and its people for many more years.
