The Nigeria’s Senate has shifted the resumption of its parliamentary sitting to May 2, 2023.
The Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Francis Akubueze made this revelation in a statement released on Friday April 21, 2023.
The Informant247 recalls that the upper chamber of the national assembly on April 5 adjourned the plenary to give the legislators the chance to celebrate Easter and Eid-el Fitri and get back to parliamentary business on Tuesday April 25.
The Red Chamber did not give any reason for the postponement of the parliamentary sitting.
The spokesperson implored the federal lawmakers to get back to the Parliament on Tuesday May 2, 2023 by 10 in the morning.
He said, “This is to inform all distinguished senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the resumption of the Senate in plenary has been rescheduled from Tuesday, 25th April, 2023 to Tuesday, 2nd May, 2023.
“All Distinguished Senators are by this notice requested to resume sitting in plenary on Tuesday, 2nd May, 2023 by 10:00 am prompt, please.”
