SDP Kwara felicitates citizens on new year, promises stronger political presence in 2026
The Social Democratic Party (SDP), Kwara State chapter, has felicitated with residents of the state on the successful celebration of Christmas and the beginning of the new year, 2026, praising their resilience, unity, and unwavering hope despite current economic and social challenges.
In a New Year goodwill message signed by the State Secretary (CTC), Ibrahim Olamilekan Quadri (Optimist), the party reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of the common people, stressing that the SDP remains a credible political alternative for the people of Kwara and Nigeria at large.
The statement noted that the party is intensifying efforts to restrategise, rebuild, and reconnect with the grassroots in readiness for the political phase ahead.
According to the party, 2026 represents a period of political awakening, and the SDP is prepared to champion the cause of the masses, especially those affected by economic hardship, insecurity, and social inequality.
It assured that the party belongs to all segments of society including market women, youths, farmers, civil servants, artisans, and every voter who desires a better Kwara.
While dismissing political distractions and what it described as the antics of political merchants, the party pledged to remain focused on delivering a state that works for everyone.
