According to the Turaki, the boreholes were donated as a demonstration of his modest support for the Kwara state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRaza, who he said deserves all the support he could get from public spirited individuals to deliver more on his promises.

However, our correspondent gathered that Mustapha’s team have been spotted at different locations in the local government area, installing the boreholes under the supervision of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority (LNRBDA).

Confirming the development, the Director General of the foundation, Alhaji Ambali Shuiab said the commencement of the boreholes was a matter of commitment and faithfulness.

“Turaki promised the people of the LGA in the build up the primaries are being executed. This presupposes that Mallam Saliu MUSTAPHA is a man of his words, and he won’t promise what he can’t deliver.

“This is the raw, undiluted grassroots impact people want to see and not merely sweet speeches or Harvard certificates that do not put foods on the people’s tables,” he said.
