Ronaldo fires blank, gets first yellow card as Al Nassr book Champions cup semi-finals ticket

Christiano Ronaldo failed to score on Tuesday as Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr booked their place in the semi-finals of the Champions Cup with a 3-1 win over Abha.

The Portuguese striker who was substituted in the 87th minute has now failed to score for the teams three game in a row.

It was also a a day when the five time Ballon D’or winner will find himself in the book of Referee as he got his first yellow card since he arrived in Saudi Arabia

The referee had cut off a clear counter-attack for Ronaldo’s team when he blew the half-time whistle- a situation which Ronaldo who was himself thrusting forward did not react well.

He would later angrily picked up the ball and kicked it into the sky, a gesture which eventually earned him his first yellow card for the club.
