Rivers people ‘ve rejected Tinubu — Former PDP chairman, Secondus blasts Gov. Wike
The former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus has lambasted the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, over his alleged support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Tinubu, ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Secondus said the Governor’s efforts to convince the people of the state will fail.
The chieftain of the PDP on Wednesday, February 21, 2023 said the people of the state have rejected the presidential candidate of the ruling party.
The Informant247 understands that the Governor was the leader of the G5 — a camp of aggrieved governors elected on the platform of the PDP.
Secondus said “Rivers people have refused to vote for Tinubu”.
He added that, “Rivers people are very wise, very intelligent. Wike is seeking for his own personal interest but Rivers people are not going that way.
“No matter the appeals to some chiefs and all of that, Rivers people know the truth and the truth is that you cannot compare Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar”.
