Reactions as Shagaya Youth Forum gives 300 students scholarships, study materials

The Muktar Shagaya Youth Forum under the umbrella of Muktar Shagaya Campaign Organization has made a distribution of over 300 scholarships.

The scholarships also feature distribution of materials for writing and reading to students in Ilorin west local government area.

The distribution exercise took place at the Muktar Shagaya Campaign Office, Opposite Nimatoni, Yidi Road, Ilorin.

While speaking on behalf of Muktar Tolani Shagaya, the candidate of the All Progressives Candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Alhaji Muftau Akanbi Oke, the Director General of the movement, implored those who benefited from the packages (students) to make good use of the kind gesture for the betterment of the nation.

“The scheme was to assist the indigent students in junior and senior secondary schools as the gesture was part of our efforts to contribute to the educational development of our constituency and state in general. The education support drive is to help reduce the burden of education on the parents and also ensure that no child is denied access to quality education.”

While giving kudos to the gesture kindness and philanthropy of the Green Chamber hopeful, the teachers and parents who were at the event thanked the group especially, Mallam Muktar Shagaya, for being an exemplary leader.

They acknowledged that the kind of scheme is timing especially at the time children are just going back to school and it’s incumbent of all parents to struggle well hard and make sure the basic necessities of the children are made provision for.
