Project completion: Kwara commissioner appreciates stakeholders

Dr Amina Ahmed  El-lmam, the Kwara State Commissioner for Health, has expressed profound appreciation to Stakeholders across ministries as well as donor agencies for the successful completion of the World Bank-assisted COVID-19 preparedness and Response project in Kwara State.

According to a statement by Falade Gbenga, the Press Secretary, Ministry of Health, the Commissioner appreciated CoPREP’s multi-sectoral key role players today in her remarks at the exit meeting of the CoPREP Project, held at the Ministry Headquarters, Fate Road, Ilorin, the state capital.

Dr Ahmed El-Imam also lauded the pro-activeness of all the State Steering Committee members, consisting of line Ministries such as Health, Water Resources, Environment,  Planning and Budget, Finance, Communications and the Accountant Generals Office, which ensured the success of the project in the State.

While commending the project Coordinator, Dr Khadeejah Kamaldeen, for her unrelenting efforts at piloting the project all through, she noted that the state has been better equipped in preparedness for any likely outbreaks of diseases across the State.

In her presentation, the CoPREP Coordinator, Dr Khadeejah Kamaldeen, thanked the Commissioner and other members of the Steering Committee for the confidence reposed in the team to pilot the project in the State.

She said implementing the project has better empowered Kwara State, especially regarding Preparedness and Response to Disease Outbreak.
