Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation in a broadcast today.
According to Dele Alake, the special adviser to the president on special duties, communication, and strategy, said that the address will be broadcast at 7pm on Monday.
He said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a broadcast to the nation on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 7pm.”
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
The Informant247 learned that the broadcast may not be unconnected to current inflation and economic hardship caused by the removal of subsidy on petrol.
Tinubu, who spoke recently while receiving All Progressives Congress’ (APC) youth leaders from across the country, said that he feels the pains of citizens and assured them that the hardships of the moment will give way to a more “prosperous, equitable and inclusive economy”.
“I can assure you that I understand the pains you are going through. It is not easy to get out of the monster of over 40 years called fuel subsidy,” he said.
