Popular singer Davido reacts to 2023 elections, says it’s not credible

The famous Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has said that the 2023 general elections were not credible ones.

He made this remark about the just concluded general elections in a recent radio interview in Lagos.

The Informant247 recalls that the music superstar went on break on social media for 6 months following the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Davido said he would have been speaking about the elections if he was active online.

He said he was excited about the political apathy; the low turn out of electorate.

He said, “I’m happy that people were not really coming out. You know if I was online, I would have been really vocal about it [the election]. I have always been vocal about it.

“But, I mean, I was happy about it [the outcome of election]. That’s just being honest.”

“It’s what it is! But I personally don’t feel like that was really a credible election. You know what I’m saying? I feel like the most important thing is the safety of life of everybody. But in all, that wasn’t it. So, I don’t think I will be able to hide that. I can’t hide that,” the singer added.

The Informant247 earlier reported that the Nigerian music superstar, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has sent message of acknowledgment to his colleague, Davido, on the release of his latest album titled “Timeless”.

The Informant247 recalls that Davido released his much anticipated music album at midnight of Friday March 31, 2023.

The music album has gathered over six million streams on Boomplay and led the charts of the streaming platforms.

Wizkid has taken to Instagram to acknowledge the songs and praised Davido for the outstanding piece of work.

He told his huge number of fans and followers to get the musical album.

Wizkid wrote: “Inside!! Y’all go listen to timeless by my brother @Davido ❤️‍?❤️‍?❤️‍?”
