Police rescue 2 abducted victims in Kaduna
The Kaduna State Police Command has said that its men have secured the release of two female kidnapped victims.
The police said it has recovered a motorcycle in Galadimawa District of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
The spokesperson of the Police in the state, DSP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the incident via a statement released on Thursday in Kaduna.
The mouthpiece of the police in the state said that the victims were saved on September 3 at about 4pm by men of the police command’s Operation Whirl Punch.
He disclosed the identities of the victims rescued as Halima Rabiu, 16, and Suwaiba Nura, 27, who were abducted from Dindibis Gangara in Galadimawa district.
He said that medical evaluation was conducted on the abducted victims before they were reconnected with their respective families.
The image maker of the police in the state said that the security personnel were on crime prevention patrol along Shillalai Road in Galadimawa where they had contact with a gang of bandits possessing sophisticated weapons.
“The bandits succumbed to the superior tactical firepower of the Police and fled in disarray into the forest with varying degrees of bullet wounds.
“Upon further push into the forest, the operatives rescued two female kidnapped victims forced to be abandoned by their fleeing abductors.
“An unregistered operational Honda motorcycle belonging to the kidnappers was equally recovered,” he said.
