Police parade wife for allegedly stabbing husband to death over demand for sex
The Oyo State Police Command has paraded a housewife in Ibadan, the capital of the State, on Wednesday for allegedly killing her husband.
The 27-year-old housewife allegedly stabbed her husband to death over demand for sex.
The spokesperson of the police command in the state, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed that the wife allegedly killed her husband by stabbing him on the chest which led to his death.
Osifeso also said the incident happened on November 16 at the residence of the couple at Oko-Oba, Oyo town.
The spokesperson of the police command narrated that the incident occurred when the deceased victim made attempt to have sexual affair with his wife who was not interested in the move.
He said that the disinterest of the wife triggered a struggle between the duo.
He added that the deceased husband at the point of struggle, collected and smashed the phone of wife on the ground.
In a retaliatory move, the wife proceeded to get a knife and stabbed the deceased husband in the chest which triggered his death.
The image maker of the police command also narrated that the duo just got to their residence on the day of the incident three months after a separation which was triggered by a misunderstanding.
He added that the suspect had admitted to the crime and would be dragged to court at the conclusion of police investigation.
The spokesperson also informed newsmen that Commissioner of Police, Mr Adebowale Williams, has persuaded members of the public not to destroy campaign posters, and billboards and not incite violence and crisis as the 2023 general elections were moving closer.
