Police officer guns down wife, her lover
A policeman, identified as Mmutle, has been apprehended over killing of his estranged wife murder of his estranged wife and his wife’s lover, a 30-year-old man called Katlego, in South Africa.
Report has it that the police officer caught his wife and the lover I’m sexual position at her friend’s apartment and shot them.
The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, Lizzy Suping.
Suping disclosed that the incident occurred on Tuesday evening, March 14, 2023 at iKageleng in Zeerust, North West province.
The spokesperson added that the suspect surrendered himself to the police on Wednesday.
The spokesperson of the police, Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, said the police officer proceeded to a house in Sandvlakte where he allegedly shot and killed a 30-year-old man and his wife, who was also a police officer, stationed at Kopfontein Port of Entry.
“Subsequent to the incident, the suspect handed himself in to the police and the firearm that was allegedly used during the commission of the crime was confiscated. The motive for the crime is unknown and investigations are underway,” he said.
