The Kwara State Police Command has arrested two suspected cult members and recovered a locally fabricated firearm in Ilorin, the state capital, as part of ongoing efforts to combat cultism and violent crimes.

The arrests were made during an intelligence-led operation following sustained surveillance by operatives of the Command. One of the suspects, identified as Abdullahi Jimoh Omotoho, 33, is alleged to be a member of a notorious cult group known as Klans-Avea operating within the Ilorin metropolis. A locally fabricated Beretta pistol was reportedly recovered from him at the point of arrest.

Further investigations led to the arrest of another suspect, Abdullahi Kareem Kawu, popularly known as “B-Red,” who is said to be affiliated with the Eiye Confraternity.
