Police arrest over 100 homosexual suspects holding wedding in Delta

The operatives of the Delta State Police Command on Tuesday arrested over 100 gay suspects allegedly carrying out a gay wedding ceremony at a hotel in the state.

Announcing their arrest on Facebook, the state police said it would parade the suspects shortly.

“Delta State Command has arrested over a hundred gay suspects in a hotel carrying out a gay wedding ceremony. We will be going live shortly on Facebook to parade the suspects,” it captioned.

The Informant247 recalls that since the passage of the anti-gay law in 2014, there have been several arrests and parades of homosexuals by security operatives in the country.

The Lagos Police, on the 31st of December 2021, cracked down on homosexuals in a hidden brothel in Isolo, Lagos.

Also, in Kano, 19 young people were arrested in 2022 for allegedly attending a same-sex wedding.
