Police arrest ‘one chance’ thieves who came from Ibadan to rob victims in Ilorin
Police in Kwara State have arrested three suspected ‘one chance’ robbers. The detectives also rescued a female victim.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday evening.
He said the three suspects identified as Adebayo Akeem m 40yrs, Akintola Abdulahi m 38yrs, and Muyiwa Obaseki ‘m’ 33yrs, who came to Ilorin from Ibadan Oyo State to perpetrate their criminal activities, were arrested with their victim, Omoedemi Ayoleyi ‘f’ who stated that she had earlier been swindled of the sum of #38,000:00 and a gold hear ring valued #50,000:00.
“The suspects were arrested, their operational vehicle, a MAZDA 323 Kwara State Taxi colour saloon car with Reg. number LRN 204 YK was impounded for the crime. Investigation into the matter has commenced in accordance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayomo.” Okasanmi said in the statement.
He quoted the state police boss as advising members of the public to be super-conscious of their environment, the vehicles they board while traveling and who they share their personal vital information with.
