Police arrest man for allegedly killing “sugar mummy”

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a man, Chidubem Osuagwu over alleged killing of his “sugar mummy” and stealing of her car.

The incident was confirmed by the police command, identifying the “sugar mummy” as a 32-year old Amarachi Chukwu.

The spokesperson of the police command, Mr Daniel Ndukwe, said the suspect was arrested, November 8 in Owerri, Imo.

He said the suspect tried to sell the stolen car on November 1.

“Investigation revealed that the suspect and his cohort at large, had in the morning hours of the mentioned date, conspired and went to the house of the victim, attempted to make away with her Toyota Corolla key, which she resisted.

“And upon her resistance, they tied her hands, legs and mouth with clothes; locked her inside the house and made away with the car.”

The police spokesperson said the dead body of the victim was recovered after the police officers forced the door to open on November 4.

He added that the suspect had been dragged to court following the completion of investigations.

He said he has been remanded in Enugu Custodial facility till the case will be heard.
