The alleged offences contravene section 97, 306 and 319A of Penal Code Law.

The suspects were arrested on Saturday, September 18, following intelligence that a group of armed young men, suspected to be cultists, assembled in a criminal hide-out at Gambari/ Akerebiata axis, Ilorin.

The police said others who took to their heels during the raid were still at large.

The Police added that searches conducted on the suspects led to the recovery of a wrap of weed suspected to be Indian hemp and two “stolen” wristwatches.

Police Prosecutor, Moshood Adebayo, through a motion exparte requested that the defendants be remanded in the correctional centre pending further investigation.

Counsel to the defendants, Abdulrasheed Awolade, however, argued for the bail application of his clients.

Magistrate Mohammed in his ruling granted the bail of the accused and adjourned the matter till 12th of October for further mention.
