PHOTOS: Nigerian-British Boxer, Anthony Joshua visits President Tinubu on new year day
The former Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Joshua, who is in Nigeria for his Yuletide holiday, visited the Nigerian President in his Lagos home.
The British-Nigerian Boxer also presented an autographed glove to the president during his visit.

Inscription on the autographed glove which has the signature of Joshua reads “To Great Asiwaju Jagaban Borgu of Africa, Bola A. Tinubu”
Joshua, who hails from Ogun State, also met the governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Monday as part of his engagement during the holiday.
The Governor of Ogun State, however, honoured two-time unified world heavyweight boxing champion by naming the State’s new boxing hall after him.
The Governor also bestowed upon Joshua a Yoruba name “Omobowale,” meaning “the child who has come home,” in recognition of his dedication to identifying and celebrating his root every given opportunity.
Meanwhile,details of Joshua’s meeting with the President were not readily available as at the time of filing this report.
