The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and the first lady (his wife) Tamunominini, have cast their votes in the ongoing governorship and house of assembly elections.
The Governor and his wife cast their votes at PU11 in Ward 1 of Abayomi-Iwo Road, Ibadan north, this morning.
While commenting on the electoral exercise, he appealed to residents of the state to go out and cast their votes.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, who’s recontesting for the governorship position said he would make sure there’s maximum security so as to maintain law and order during the elections.
“My wife, @iamominini and I have cast our votes in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Ibadan today. As promised, security is tight in Oyo State, so I encourage our people to go out and exercise their civic responsibility without fear,” Makinde wrote on his Twitter page.
