Otunba Adekunle Ojora, Saraki’s father-in-law dies at 93

The Ojora family of Lagos has announced the death of their revered patriarch and prominent traditional title holder, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Olori Omo Oba of Lagos, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday at the age of 93.

In a statement issued on behalf of the family by Mrs. Toyin Ojora-Saraki, the family expressed total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, noting that the elder statesman “returned to his Creator” after a long and fulfilled life.

“We say Alhamdulilahi for a life well lived, and we submit to the words of Allah: ‘Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall all return’ (Q2:156),” the statement read.

The late Otunba Ojora, a renowned business magnate, community leader, and respected figure in Lagos traditional and social circles, will be buried in Lagos in accordance with Islamic rites.

He is survived by his wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, as well as children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family called on members of the public to remember the departed in their prayers, asking Allah to grant him mercy, ease in the grave, and admission into Aljannah Firdaus.

Widely admired for his contributions to commerce, philanthropy, and the development of Lagos society, Otunba Adekunle Ojora leaves behind a lasting legacy of dignity, service, and leadership.
