Osun PDP suspends party activities as Davido loses son
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has suspended its political activities for the week following the news of the passing of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of the popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido.
nephew of Governor-elect Ademola Adeleke, lost his son, Ifeanyi.
Adekunle Akindele, who’s the Osun PDP caretaker chairman, in a message of condolence to the family of Adeleke on Tuesday, said the death of the son of Davido and Chioma, was a very sad happening.
He also ordered the suspension of all activities of the party organs and committees, as show of sympathy to the family.
“We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day, but we remain steadfast in our faith in the Lord of the Universe.
“Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement concluded.
The Informant247 learnt that Ifeanyi reportedly drowned on Monday at the home of the singer at Banana Island.
The Informant247 had earlier reported that the Lagos State police command has said that eight domestic staff of the popular Nigerian singer, David Adedeji, professionally known as Davido, are currently being questioned at the station over the reported death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
