Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Wednesday approved  N75,000 new minimum wage for all workers in the state.

According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, Governor Adeleke acted on the Public Service Negotiation Committee’s report.

Alimi, who is also a member of the committee, stated that the government team was led by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Kazeem Akinleye, while the labour team was led by the Osun NLC Chairman, Christopher Arapasopo.

“The new minimum wage of N75,000 was adopted and approved by the governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for civil servants in the state.

“The Governor Ademola Adeleke-led administration is deeply committed to prioritising the welfare of civil servants, who tirelessly provide efficient, effective and quality services to the state despite the limited resources accruing to it,” the commissioner said.

The statement, however, urged civil servants in the state to improve their service delivery by endlessly seeking innovative solutions to improve public service in ensuring transparency and accountability for the growth and development of the 33-year-old Osun State.
