Operation Alanu Tide: Ilorin youths applaud Kwara government’s efforts to enhance highway security
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has expressed appreciation for the Kwara State Government’s recent initiatives aimed at enhancing security and fostering community development within the state.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, signed by the association’s National President, Alhaji Babatunde Salaudeen, and shared with journalists by the National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunmo, the youth group praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration for its collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force 303 Composite Group (303 CG) in launching Operation Alanu Tide (OAT).
This joint security initiative is focused on tackling the rising insecurity along the Ogbomosho-Ilorin highway.
“We commend the proactive measures taken by the government and the Nigerian Air Force to secure this vital highway, demonstrating a strong commitment to protecting lives and property in Kwara State,” the spokesperson for the Ilorin Emirate Youths stated.
Furthermore, the association lauded the government’s recent distribution of cheques for the construction of 20 solar-powered boreholes and toilets in various communities across the state.
“These projects will serve communities in all 16 Local Government Areas, showcasing the government’s dedication to enhancing access to clean water and sanitation facilities, which are crucial for public health and economic development,” added Alhaji Jagunmo.
The IEYDA urged the government to maintain these beneficial efforts and called on the communities that will benefit from these initiatives to maximize the opportunities provided.
