OpEd | Beyond politics, Amb. Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki has proven what we are known for in Ilorin Emirate.
By Abds-samad Attahiru
Politics aside, Ilorin is known for peace, unity, and love among its people. Dr. Saraki’s visit to Kursi Investment is a way of fostering unity among the indigenous people of Ilorin, where opportunities can be explored through business.
During his visit to Kursi, many lessons emerged. In whatever you do, keep doing it and let the results speak for you. The outcome of Amb. Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki’s years of hard work has made him a destination of importance, just like Aso Rock—a place every Nigerian wants to visit.
Amb. Seriki isn’t just a business mogul; he is a man of his people, someone who loves and supports different initiatives within his community.
No doubt, among those in Dr. Bukola Saraki’s entourage who visited Kursi Investment, I am very sure many will network and reconnect with one another in order to create business opportunities and platforms for each other. This is the real definition of statesmanship, raised and nurtured in Ilorin.
The Ilorin of yesterday hasn’t just remained in existence; its people have built a city that continues to create opportunities for individuals with like minds while maintaining its global recognition of “One Love.”
Don’t inherit someone else’s enemies. Kindly walk your own path. The opportunities are out there, beyond limiting yourself to blackmailing.
I know Dr. Bukola Saraki to be a lover of business and development. In the months or years to come, his fruitful visit to Kursi Investment may open up several opportunities for many Kwarans and inspire them to channel their energy towards what they are doing. I am overwhelmed by this new dimension of going back to what Ilorin is known for.
Dr. Bukola Saraki and Amb. Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki have demonstrated the values and qualities that Ilorin Emirate has been known for over the years. I implore the younger generation to emulate this idea of promoting unity and peace among ourselves.
For the like-minded, we know Dr. Saraki’s visit to Kursi Investment was apolitical. A lot of narratives might be emerging from those who caused us a lot of pain in the past. Let us build an Ilorin Emirate that will work for all of us.
Also, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, I am Yolo Oni Iresii. I know you will love to patronize my business after going through this write-up. You have inspired many vibrant Nigerian youths to create platforms outside politics, so that we can leverage a fruitful relationship that will last for a long time.
May Ilorin Emirate continue to succeed.
