Only two delegates voted for Shehu Sani in Kaduna PDP primary
Senator Shehu Sani, a gubernatorial aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has secured just two votes in the just concluded primary election.
There have been speculations that delegates have been collecting money from the aspirants before they cast their votes.
The Informant247 had reported how one aspirant who lost the primary election demanded a refund of the huge amount of money he gave to delegates.
Before the governorship primary election in Kaduna, Sani, a one time representative of Kaduna Central Senatorial district from 2015 to 2019, had made a vow to not give money to delegates for their votes.
Shortly after the election, he claimed that the two delegates who voted for him did so without collecting any money from him.
Sani said via his social media handle that, “The Kaduna PDP Governorship primaries has been concluded. I lost and Honourable Isah Ashiru won. I wish to congratulate him.
“Two Delegates voted for me without giving them a dime. Unfortunately, I don’t know who they are, so I can appreciate these clean votes. We look forward.”
